Technique: Using scraps for a simple pendant with matching earrings – revisited
Win: Yes
Challenge:
• To use the leftover extruder pieces from yesterday in a cohesive way
• To create matching earrings that echo the pendant colours
• To gently rework the extruder pattern without losing its texture
• To keep the design simple while still looking intentional
Lessons Learned:
• The process of refinement is ongoing and repetition builds confidence
• Scraps can lead to surprisingly cohesive sets
• I really enjoy these brighter colours softened into muted, almost pastel tones
• Reworking extruded clay needs a light touch to preserve the pattern
Confidence Level: 9/10
Notes:
• I quite like how this set turned out
• I successfully made two earrings and a matching pendant using the same method
• A small leftover piece was pressed into a metal frame, which created an additional smaller pendant
• This felt like a satisfying way to use every last bit of clay
