Zentangle for Cardmakers online course

I have just completed THE most wonderful online course with Altenew.com here. I loved every moment of it.

It was a 6 day course, and we learned how to use Zentangle elements to add to our cards.

I don’t have the stamp sets the teacher used, but for the one day, I used a screen print to create a background I could draw on with a pencil to practice.

You can clearly see which elements I copied from the site and which I drew using my lead pencil. It was not my intention to breach any copyright which belongs to Altenew, I was using it only for my own practise and I will buy the stamp if I make an actual card.

Here are some more drawings I made while practicing the tangles:

The class was given by an independent educator (Amber Rain Davis) whose blog is here:

Her work is amazing. One of the things I learned is that the shadows really make a difference and you can see even on my practice sheets the shadow makes it look really good even though it is not perfect. To create the shadows, you can use any lead (graphite) pencil and smudge it with a paper stump or whatever you have.
