Explosion box kit

Since the pandemic is still with us, and I am not attending classes in person, I have been doing a lot of kits from my usual suppliers. (Unfortunately, not all of them have embraced the online classes or videos, but for those who have, I thank you 🙂 ).

This kit comes from one of my local places called the Purple Magnolia, and is a wonderous explosion box photo album. Each page is ready for a photo or a bit of journalling, there are tags for journalling, and a beautiful flower in the middle. This kit brought me so much joy to create, and even though I read the instructions three times, I still made mistakes with the cutting, but I think it looks just fine.

This is a gift for a friend’s birthday, and she seems very pleased. 🙂

The kit uses paper from a local company called Fabscraps, and although the papers sell out fast, you may still be able to grab some if you wanted. This is a sweet collection with reds and creams and greys, as well as kitties (who doesn’t love kitties) and birds and flowers. Everything gentle we need at the moment during the though time we are all facing.

The lovely thing about this kit is that I will be able to make it again using different paper at a later stage. I am in love with this box format, and think it is a lovely present to give to someone – either with photos already in it, or without so they can put their own inside.

Here are some photos of my work:

Thank you for popping in to see my project. I hope the lockdown continues to treat you all well. Can you believe we are on day 339 of the pandemic?

Stay well, look after each other, wash your hands, and wear your masks.
