Colin had his official pass-out to come home for the day today. We arrived at 7:30 at the rehab this morning, and Jabu (our wonderful Carer / ENA [enrolled nursing assistent]) helped with the heavy lifting and some other nursing activities.
The house changes will include a ramp so Colin can get in and out of the house in his own, and a wider door into the bathroom, and a walk-in (wheel-in) shower. This means I have to give up my wonderful bath that Colin did for us a few years ago, but we can put it into the other bathroom when we redo that one, and so it will be fine. 😀
Colin was able to do stuff on his PC today – for the first time in almost 100 days. Here is a pic of him looking extremely pleased with himself. He used the standard Windows keypad mouse function, and his stylus held in his splint.
Today I am so grateful for Colin’s hard work, and determination to move forward, any way possible. I look forward to the weekend when he can stay over, and be safe – when the alterations are done.
