Day 20
Technique: Faux pearls
Win: Definitely
Challenge
- Creating faux pearls that look convincingly realistic
- Achieving a soft, luminous shine rather than a flat gloss
Lessons Learned
- My existing Perfect Pearls pigment worked beautifully, no need to buy new mica powders
- Forming a perfectly spherical bead is tricky, but creating an intentionally imperfect river-style pearl is even more challenging
- My finishing is improving steadily, though refinement is still a work in progress
Confidence Level: 9.5 / 10
Notes
- I reused the foil technique from earlier this week and built a soft pink base layer
- The pink undertone pairs surprisingly well with the pearl finish, adding warmth and depth
- Overall, the pearls came out looking genuinely elegant and cohesive

Wait, hold on. Those pearls are made of clay?? Wow, sweet cousin, amazing work!
