Technique: Flower detailed dangle earrings
Win: Yes
Challenge:
• To create clean dangle earrings using scraps from the pink clay used a few days ago
• To create delicate roses, stems, and leaves that are symmetrical on both earrings
• To create tiny leaves by hand rather than using a mould
Lessons Learned:
• Creating symmetrical designs is tricky, but I am gradually improving
• Finishing and polishing edges with a nail file gives a cleaner, more refined result
Confidence Level: 9/10
Notes:
• I used the leftover pink clay with foil from a few days ago and mixed it to create a terrazzo-like effect
• I chose pastel colours to complement the pink dangles. I tend to use bright colours, but I want to explore softer, more elegant palettes for smaller floral pieces
• This piece reflects improving symmetry, cleaner finishing, and a shift toward softer, more delicate colour palettes. Also, by using my scraps, I am growing in confidence in material reuse and design cohesion
