Technique: Large, round, colourful pendant
Win: Yes
Challenge:
• To use an extruder to create very thin strings for a circular pattern
• To handle and place delicate extruded strands without distorting the design
• To achieve a cleaner, more refined bail finish than yesterday
• To form a smooth concave pendant with an even curve
Lessons Learned:
• Very thin extruded strings are fragile and require slow, careful handling
• Building a circular pattern requires patience and light pressure to avoid flattening the strands
• Bail attachment is improving but still needs practice and consistency
• Using a firm bowl as a mould creates a smoother, more controlled concave shape than foil
Confidence Level: 7.5/10
Notes:
• I wanted to explore softer colours while still keeping the piece bright and lively
• The thinner strings created a more delicate and detailed surface than expected
• I used a china bowl to form the concave shape, which gave a noticeably better finish than foil
• This piece felt like a balance between control and softness, both in colour and construction

That is very good
