Welcome Baby card

Welcome to my blog. Sorry I have not been around for a while, but I have a new card to share today. Today I have made a baby card for someone very special. They had a beautiful little boy on the 31st of July, but they live abroad, so I have time to send the parcel (which is why I waited so long to make the card).

He is a gorgeous little poppet with his Daddy’s feet (read large, lol), and I am sure he will be happy in his new home.

To be honest, my craft room is in complete chaos and I cannot find anything. This includes the plates for my die cutting machine, so I had to hand-cut the circle. I decided that I cannot wait any longer to make the card as I need to send it off this week.

I started with a craft card piece which I made into a small card. I measured where I wanted the little boy to swing, and then drew circles and cut them out on the card, as well as on a piece for the inside to hide the string. For the little boy baby, I used two mirror image embellishments which I glued back to back onto the string, so that enough was sticking out top and bottom to glue onto the card to let him fit into the circle.

I inked the card using blue distress ink, and finished it off by placing the element inside the circle and sticking the inside panel down to cover the strings and hold them in place.

Here is what the card looks like:

Thanks for popping in, and I hope to post again very soon. Keep warm, and stay happy. 🙂
